New year
Hello! Happy New Year! Right, here we go, it’s 2019 and I’m determined to be better at not bottling things up this year, so I’ve set up a new blog called Hannah’s Braindump where I can post mental health related stuff, because I want to separate that out and keep this blog exclusively for wet clothes stuff. Please do go and follow me over there if you’re interested, or don’t if you’re not, it’s absolutely fine. I know that sounds really passive aggressive, but I mean it. If that’s not why you’re here, don’t worry about it, that’s why I’ve set up another blog!
So I hope you all had a great festive period… I can’t say I did, really, but I’m feeling a lot more positive about things at the moment. Had a nice walk on the beach on New Year’s Day and even briefly gave serious consideration to going in the water, but as you can see from this post’s featured image the weather wasn’t ideal and I decided it wasn’t worth risking hypothermia. Maybe if we get another summer like last year! But I was really elated in the early hours of New Year’s morning because my girl crush Dr Janina Ramirez off of lots of BBC Four things liked two of my tweets. Sounds pretty feeble when I write it down, but it really cheered me up, although it did make me wonder what she’d think if she checked out my Twitter bio or even followed the link here… If you’re here, Nina, please get in touch so I can pitch you my idea for a documentary about the science of wet clothing and why it turns people on. I’m sure you could do a better one than Suzannah Lipscomb… 😉
Anyway, you’ll be hearing more from me soon… rest assured, I’m not doing “Dry January” in any sense of the word!
Happy New Year, Hannah. I’m reading both your blogs.
Thanks Andy, happy new year to you too! x
Happy wet year! I love your idea about making a documentary about wetlook! can’t wait to see it! Thx for all your stories
Happy New Year!
Don’t let the winter months stop you from haveing fun getting wet. I can’t even count how many times I have gone for walks along a beach or discovered a pond while out for a walk that the water starts to call my name and I end up just wading into the water fully clothed even in the winter. I have had to drive or even walk home soaked more times than I can count as I didn’t have a change of clothes with me as I was not planing to be going for a dip till I saw the water and just had to wade in for a swim even if it was just a quick swim. So next time you get the urge just go for it and don’t worry about it being to cold.
